Daily Adventure Planning
Maximize your experience and get the most of your Sedona adventure. From the miles of robust hiking and biking, to our vibrant art and cultural history to our local cuisine and wineries, this 5-day adventure guide is packed with the best of red rock country.
DAY 1: ART & HISTORY
Start at the Sedona Arts Center with exhibitions, workshops and more before heading to the center’s fine art gallery for a live demonstration.
Hop in a car and visit historic landmarks such as the Chapel of the Holy Cross and Cathedral Rock. Be sure to visit Hononki and Palatki for some of the nation’s best-preserved cliff dwellings and rock art.
As night falls, the place to be is Sound Bites Grill in Uptown Sedona – a music-themed restaurant with live entertainment and an impressive collection of signed guitars.
DAY 2: ADVENTURE
Take a scenic drive up to Oak Creek Canyon and embark on a self-guided tour of the canyons. Alternatively, you can join one of the many organized tours for peace of mind.
With the sun high in the sky, a paddle down the Verde River is a must. Try your hand at canoeing or kayaking, or jump on a jeep for a tour of the outback.
Combine relaxation and adventure on a hot air balloon ride, anywhere from the heart of Sedona to the Grand Canyon.
DAY 3: RELAXATION
Rise at dawn and watch the sunrise over the red rocks with your loved one. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading to the resort’s spa for a swim or body treatment.
Spend a few hours on our golf course or enjoy a picnic in Red Rock Crossing or Red Rock State Park. Explore the vortexes of the area before attending a meditation workshop or psychic reading at the New Age Center.
Head over to Airport Mesa for spot of dinner – picnic-style – before watching the sunset over the western horizon. Lay back and wait until the stars come out for a truly phenomenal experience.
DAY 4: EAT & DRINK
Head to Local Juicery for outrageously healthy smoothies or Blue Moon Cafe for all-day American breakfasts and more.
Enjoy a romantic Parisian lunch at Rene at Tlaquepaque or savor delightfully fresh house-baked breads and pastries at Wildflower Bread Company.
Taste the Mediterranean with authentic Italian dishes at Cucina Rustica, or try some of the best veggie dishes in town at D’lish Very Vegetarian.
DAY 5: SHOPPING
Start off in uptown Sedona, the central hub full of upscale galleries, gift shops and an eclectic mix of shops.
Continue the day on the banks of Oak Creek at the famous Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village. Explore the collection of Spanish-style buildings and cobblestone walkways before browsing the unique galleries and shops.
The Arizona 179 Corridor, also known as Gallery Row, is the perfect end to a day of retail therapy. Lined with upscale galleries, small plazas, malls and restaurants, the vibrant stretch offers superb views of landmarks.
